Final Stage of Public Consultation for Social Security Board Election Regulations

The Social Security Office is in the final stage of public consultation for draft election regulations for employer and insured person representatives on the Social Security Committee. As of February 13, the consultation has received over 402,197 responses, with participant numbers increasing by 100-300 per minute. The consultation is open through three channels: the Office of the Council of State's legal system website, the Social Security Office website, and provincial Social Security Office service points. Spokesperson Niyada Saneemonmai noted that after the consultation closes, the results will be processed and reported to the subcommittee for reviewing the election regulations. The new election regulations differ from the previous version in several key aspects, including changes to representative selection, voting rights, and candidate eligibility criteria. Preliminary discussions suggest the election may take place in July, with a budget of 275 million baht allocated for the process.
