OSMEP Reveals 2026 Roadmap with 8.2 Billion Baht SME Support Plan
The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSMEP) has outlined its 2026 roadmap, featuring highlight projects supporting SMEs with over 8.2 billion baht to expand opportunities into new markets globally. Ms. Panita Chinawat, Acting Director of OSMEP, revealed that the 2026 SME promotion action plan will integrate work with 11 ministries and 49 agencies, driving 143 projects worth over 8,200 million baht under the key question: 'How can SMEs survive, continue, and truly grow?'
OSMEP aims to be more than just an operational unit, but a policy center connecting all government mechanisms to fill gaps in Thailand's SME support system. The organization will link normal agency budgets and SME promotion funds to provide targeted, continuous support for entrepreneurs.
Key highlights for 2026 include expanding government procurement market opportunities for SMEs, increasing competitive advantages, and implementing a new 'Empowering SME' concept that will select 36 high-potential SMEs for personalized development to help them scale up and expand internationally.
