On February 11, 2024, Military Region 2 announced that on February 10, 2024, at 09:00 AM, Major General Thanakrit Phunrod, Commander of Military Region 22, welcomed and processed two heroic family members into civilian military officer positions to replace personnel who died defending the nation: Nati Phasuk (elder brother) was assigned as a nutrition officer at Camp Sapphasit Prasong Hospital (Captain rank), replacing Sergeant Amarin Phasuk (23rd Regiment, 3rd Battalion) who died during a Thai-Cambodian border incident on July 28, 2023. Miss Nitiya Noikhot (younger sister) was assigned as a nurse at Camp Sapphasit Prasong Hospital (Captain rank), replacing Sergeant Kritsada Noikhot (6th Reconnaissance Company) who died during a Thai-Cambodian border incident on July 25, 2023. The Royal Thai Army honors the sacrifices of these fallen heroes and is committed to supporting their families with dignity. This enlistment reinforces the army's principle of 'leaving no one behind' and repays the heroic service of those who sacrificed themselves for national sovereignty.
