Suchat Blasts 'Spiritual Leaders' Disrupting Vote Recount in Chonburi District 1

During a press conference at Government House on February 10th, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchat Chonglin, as a candidate for Chonburi District 1 from the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed demands for a vote recount. He emphasized that his official responsibilities ended at 6 PM on February 7th and insisted that the vote counting process was monitored by election officials and party observers. Suchat claimed his initial vote count was around 45,700 votes, compared to his opponent's approximately 41,000 votes - a difference of nearly 5,000 votes. He challenged those calling for a recount, asking who would be responsible if the results remained unchanged and describing the demands as an unacceptable rejection of democratic processes.
