Yaovapha, Mother of Yos Chanan, Casts First Vote at Polling Unit 54
Yaovapha Wongsawat, mother of Yos Chanan, smiled while casting the first vote at Polling Unit 54. The election day on February 8th took place at the polling station in Thung Song Hong sub-district, Laksi District, located in a tent near the UCI Media Company parking lot in front of Beverly Hills Village.
The polling unit, which has 631 eligible voters, was particularly notable due to the presence of significant political figures. Yos Chanan, a Pheu Thai Party prime ministerial candidate ranked 316th, and his mother Yaovapha, ranked 317th, drew significant media attention.
Security measures were in place, with police from the 191 Patrol and Special Operations unit maintaining order. Military personnel from Military District 11 were also actively participating throughout the morning.
At 7:55 AM, Yaovapha arrived to verify her name and voting order, waiting for the 8:00 AM polling station opening. She was the first voter, helping to verify the ballot box before casting her vote, and then quickly returned to her residence without giving interviews.
