Seahawks Crush Patriots to Claim Second Super Bowl Title
Seattle Seahawks decisively defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in the 60th NFL Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium, claiming their second championship after their previous win in 2013.
Sam Darnold, the 28-year-old quarterback, threw for 202 yards with one touchdown, including a 16-yard pass to AJ Barner. Despite limited offensive progress, Darnold led the team to five field goals by Jason Myers from distances of 33, 39, 41, 41, and 26 yards.
Patriots quarterback Drake May struggled in the final quarter, with Julian Leavy of the Seahawks intercepting a pass in the last seven minutes. May was sacked seven times and committed two fumbles. Uchenna Nwosu scored a touchdown after an interception, despite Ramondre Stephenson's attempt to chase him down.
The Seahawks avenged their 2014 championship loss, becoming the first team in playoff history to win without any turnovers. This victory marks the 31st championship for an NFC team.
