Geno Seeks Hole-in-One on Hole 8, Celebrates Birthday at Honda LPGA
On February 5, 2026, at the Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort in Bangkok, Toshio Kuwahara, CEO of Asian Honda Motor, announced the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 tournament. The event will take place from February 19-22 at Siam Country Club Old Course in Chonburi, featuring world No. 1 Geno-Arthaya Thitikul and 17-year-old Prim Prajaknate, a two-time SEA Games gold medalist. This year marks a historic moment as Geno-Arthaya Thitikul will compete at home as the world's No. 1 female golfer for the first time in the tournament's history. She'll compete against former world No. 1 Lydia Ko and 72 top LPGA Tour players, competing for a total prize of $1.8 million. Special hole-in-one prizes include a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle worth 1,355,000 baht at hole 8 and a Honda CR-V e:HEV RS with accessories worth 1,863,220 baht at hole 16. Kuwahara emphasized Honda's 60-year commitment to youth and international sports, noting the tournament is more than just a competition but a platform connecting sports with community and national development. Geno-Arthaya, reflecting on her recent achievements including three LPGA victories and being named Rolex Player of the Year 2025, described her homecoming as 'special'. While not guaranteeing a championship, she confirmed her thorough preparation and discipline.
