Thai Stock Market Soars, Foreign Capital Inflows Reach 52 Billion Baht
On February 19, Paradorn Tiarnapramote, Research Director at Asia Plus Securities, revealed that the Thai stock market is currently the world's top performer, rising over 8.3% after the recent election. Foreign investment funds are flowing into Asian markets, including Thailand, with significant inflows of 37 billion baht post-election. The stock index reached 1,493.91 points, increasing by 27.24 points or 1.86%, with trading value at 94,756.45 million baht. Paradorn highlighted key factors to monitor, including potential constitutional issues with election QR codes and their impact on forming a new government. Two scenarios are possible: either a nullified election requiring a complete re-run or a continuation of the current electoral process, which would significantly impact market sentiment and investor confidence.
