BANGKOK — Questions have emerged about the 2026 general election after online users discovered election equipment similar to official Election Commission (EC) materials being sold on major e-commerce platforms. A review found multiple vendors advertising ballot boxes and related materials with descriptions matching state standards used in local and national polls, including some listings featuring logos resembling official EC seals. Items for sale included ballot boxes, polling station barriers, voting booths, and ballot box security seals, priced from tens to hundreds of baht. Buyers could order without any use verification, with some vendors showing over 500 units sold. It remains unclear whether these products are officially authorized by the EC or are commercially produced replicas.
