The Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) highly praised Thailand's ability to host international competitions. The organization awarded Thailand the rights to host the Asian BMX Championships in 2027 at Kamol Sports Park in Bangkok and the Asian Road Cycling Championships in 2028. General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of ACC, shared details from the ACC Management Committee Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 11th. The meeting recognized Thailand's readiness for international competitions, highlighting the country's comprehensive support infrastructure. This includes 4-star hotels for athletes and officials, excellent transportation systems, dedicated coordination teams, training equipment preparation, and full government support from various ministries and agencies. The ACC also noted Thailand will host the Asian Balance Bike Challenge in 2026, focusing on youth development and the 'Cycling for All' concept. The event aims to attract around 2,000 young participants from across Asia, with the goal of expanding cycling participation among children.
