Chuan Assesses Democrat Party Popularity Surge, Exposes 100 Baht Vote Buying in Isaan

At the February 6th Bangkok Forum rally titled 'A Safe Path: Trust in Abhisit', Chuan Leekpai, former Democrat Party leader and party list MP candidate, assessed the party's growing popularity after Abhisit Vejjajiva's return as party leader. During his 50-day campaign across 14 southern provinces, Chuan claimed the party's popularity has multiplied significantly. He also exposed vote-buying practices in the Northeastern region, where votes were allegedly being purchased for 100 baht. Chuan urged citizens to reject vote-buying tactics and support candidates with integrity, emphasizing the need to elect politicians who are honest and genuinely committed to ethical governance. He specifically called on people to vote for the Democrat Party to enable Abhisit to lead the country.
