Thai Windsurfing Team Shows Exceptional Performance, Wins 3 Championships in Langkawi

Pattana Boonsawat, Secretary of the Thai Windsurfing Association, disclosed that after sending athletes to compete in the 'Langkawi International Regatta Perdana 2026' on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, from February 9-12, 2026, under the supervision of Panthawat Pimsakul and coach Seksan Khuntong, the Thai windsurfing team delivered an exceptional performance. The team won championships in three categories: Techno 293 Girls Under-17, with Korakan Panthong scoring 9 points; Techno 293 Boys Under-17, with Supachai Chuetathong scoring 11 points; and Techno 293 Plus Boys Under-19, with Suphachok Chuetathong scoring 14 points. In the IQFoil Men's category, Wachirawit Manburung finished second with 15 points, and Phatchara Naree placed sixth with 58 points. 'Overall, all athletes performed very satisfactorily. Most importantly, they gained experience and will work on improving their shortcomings. The Windsurfing Association thanks all supporters who have continuously pushed Thai athletes towards success,' said Pattana Boonsawat.
