OSMEP Unites Public and Private Sectors to Provide Special Benefits Through SME Privilege Program

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSMEP) is moving forward to link cooperation between public and private sectors, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and joining forces with over 50 partner organizations through the SME Privilege project. The initiative aims to strengthen the economic ecosystem by delivering comprehensive benefits in four areas: product and service discounts, market expansion, access to funding sources, and adaptation to green business for tax opportunities, with the goal of elevating Thai SMEs' potential for sustainable growth. Dr. Apiradee Khaothien, Deputy Director of OSMEP, revealed that in 2026, OSMEP aims to drive Thai SMEs to keep pace with the global economy under the strategy 'Fulfill, Boost, Grow' to create sustainable competitive advantages. The SME Privilege project, now in its 6th consecutive year, is a critical mechanism for supporting entrepreneurs. In 2025, it helped over 10,000 SMEs, particularly in market expansion and cost reduction, generating economic value of at least 650 million baht. The project focuses on three key concepts: Fulfill: Enhancing new knowledge capabilities by focusing on green business adaptation and AI technology application to prepare for global trends in 2026 through intensive practical workshops. Boost: Increasing competitive capabilities through diverse benefits including operational cost reduction, market expansion domestically and internationally, access to funding sources, and tax benefits. Grow: Driving Thai SMEs to continuously expand their businesses, become stronger, and achieve sustainable long-term growth. OSMEP has signed MOUs with new partners in three networks to 'Fulfill' technology and logistics areas. The organization has also prepared highlight activities throughout 2026 to create business advantages, including international trade shows and business matching events. OSMEP aims to establish this collaboration as a central hub where SMEs can access and utilize benefits comprehensively, from potential development to creating sustainable growth opportunities.
