Davis Cup Thailand Ready: Captain Bharadorn Aims for 3 Points - Maximus Confident in Playoff Opener

The Davis Cup World Team Tennis Championship World Group 2 Playoff between Thailand and Puerto Rico will hold its draw ceremony on February 6, 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Uchukorn Sakornnawin, vice president of the Tennis Association of Thailand, at the National Tennis Development Center in Muang Thong Thani. During the ceremony, Mr. Yan Kussack, an international tennis referee from France, conducted the draw. The first matches on February 7 will feature singles matches: Maximus Bharaphol Jones (Thailand's No. 1) will face Yannick Alvarez (Puerto Rico's No. 2), followed by Kasidis Samret (Thailand's No. 2) against Marco Mezarovich (Puerto Rico's No. 1). On February 8, the doubles match will feature Pratchya Isaro and Maximus Bharaphol Jones against Yannick Alvarez and Marco Mezarovich, followed by singles matches between the top players. Team Captain 'Superbun' Bharadorn Srichaphan, a former world No. 9 tennis player, expressed full confidence in the team's preparation. Maximus Bharaphol Jones stated this is his 6th Davis Cup appearance and he feels completely ready. The team hopes to secure 3 points in the first two days of competition.
