Viral Video: Employee Sends Clip to Boss Requesting Leave After Getting Stuck in Room

On February 9th, a video went viral worldwide when a woman sent a clip to her boss explaining she couldn't come to work after being stuck in her room due to an unopenable door. Rairee Meegan posted the video on TikTok, showing her trying to open the apartment door but finding the lock completely broken. Initially thinking it was a minor issue, she discovered the door wouldn't budge after multiple attempts. As work time approached, she tried pulling and pushing the door repeatedly. After nearly 10 minutes, she was officially late and still trapped. Instead of continuing to force the door, Rairee grabbed her phone to record video evidence, knowing without proof her explanation might sound unbelievable. Interestingly, when she logged her reason for being late, no one questioned her further. She shared the clip with a few colleagues who found it amusing, and even her shift manager was unaware it was her video until seeing it on TikTok later.
