Local Village Chiefs Rally Behind Suphan Buri District Chief Amid Election Recount Dispute

On February 13, Sarawut Jumpa-ngern, village head of Taling Chan and chairman of the district's village head association, led approximately 100 people to the district office to present roses and support to District Chief Sitthiporn Konghom. The visit came after Amornrat Chokpamitakul, a former MP, and her legal team demanded permission to install CCTV in the ballot storage room to observe ballot preservation. During the meeting, Amornrat reportedly became visibly upset, stood up, and dramatically slapped the table, telling Sitthiporn that he lacked professional dignity. Sarawut emphasized that the village chiefs were showing support, not creating drama, and believed the election committee worked transparently.
