Thammanat Declares Phayao Leading in All Districts, Accuses Election Officers of Ballot Tampering

On February 8, 2024, Rear Admiral Thammanat Phromphao, advisor to Kla Party, visited party headquarters and paid respects to the shrine. He confidently claimed Phayao province is leading in all districts based on real-time reporting. Thammanat highlighted a major incident where election committee members were caught attempting to illegally insert 14 ballots during the lunch break, including 7 party-list ballots and 7 district ballots. He noted the party-list ballots were marked specifically with number 46, and one district ballot marked with number 1, while others were marked with number 3. He also reported leads in other provinces: Surat Thani with 3 districts, Narathiwat with 3 districts, Chiang Mai with 3 districts, and Lampang's 2nd and 4th districts. When asked about potential parliamentary seats, Thammanat remained cautiously optimistic, stating it was too early to confirm and they would know more in the coming hours.
