Warning Before Fine Measure Extended to March: Only Immediate Traffic Violations Without Pending Tickets
Police have launched a new 'warning before fine' measure from January to March. Deputy Police Chief Samran Nuanma explained that traffic police nationwide will provide a verbal warning before issuing a ticket for traffic violations, using the Police Ticket Management (PTM) system. The warning will only apply to drivers who are immediately present during the violation and have no pending tickets. Those receiving a warning who subsequently commit another traffic violation will be issued a ticket immediately. Notably, drivers with black smoke emissions will not receive a warning and will be directly cited, due to concerns about air pollution.
