Supreme Court Removes Somchai from Kla Dharm Party Candidate List

On February 5, 2026, the Supreme Court's Election Division published a ruling to remove Somchai Nantapirat, a parliamentary candidate from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District 5 of the Kla Dharm Party, from the official candidate list. The removal is due to his absence from voting in the provincial administrative election on August 4, 2024, without providing a valid excuse. Since this occurred within two years of the election, he is restricted from running for parliamentary membership under the Local Election Act of 2019, Article 42, Paragraphs 1(1) and 2.
