Kanvee Storms Election Commission, Demands Vote Recount in Si Sa Ket District 3

On February 11, 2024, at the Election Commission office, Kanvee Suebsaeng, leader of the Plawat Party, submitted a request for a vote recount, citing non-transparent vote counting in several provinces including Chon Buri, Pathum Thani, and Suphan Buri. He specifically highlighted concerns in Si Sa Ket District 3, where approximately 5,000 votes appear to be missing, and the Plawat Party's vote count was allegedly reduced from 7,335 to a lower number. Kanvee also noted that the Election Commission's website did not display Plawat Party candidate information since election results were announced. He questioned the transparency of the process and called on the Election Commission to provide clarification, stating that if the election is found to be invalid, a re-election would be acceptable despite the potential 6,000-7,000 million baht cost.
