Wow, Nonstop! '9arm' Reveals Social Security's Dark Fiber Network Costing 24 Million Baht per Month
On February 6, Dr. Thananon Patiyaksak (known as '9arm'), an influencer and software engineer, spoke on a news program about several surprising aspects of Social Security's operations. He highlighted the 14-million-baht renovation of a video conference room and an even more shocking dark fiber network project. The network, which costs 24 million baht per month, appears to be for transmitting potentially confidential social security data. Upon investigation, he discovered that 90 percent of the data transmission capacity remains unused, and the infrastructure is comparable to the Pentagon's network in the United States. He also questioned the need for such a large-scale system, particularly for transferring CCTV data that could be handled through regular internet connections.
