Chollanan Thankful for Votes After Losing Nan MP Seat for First Time in 25 Years
On Feb 9th - Dr. Chollanan Srikaew, candidate for Nan constituency 2 from the Pheu Thai Party, posted a message on his personal Facebook page after receiving unofficial election results. He stated: 'I sincerely thank every vote, respect and accept the decision of the people, because we come from the people. I congratulate those who have earned the people's trust.'
Unofficial election results for Nan constituency 2 are:
1. Prasit Notha (Kla Thai Party) - 37,913 votes
2. Parichat Yanoi (People's Party) - 28,705 votes
3. Dr. Chollanan Srikaew (Pheu Thai) - 13,965 votes
Chollanan's defeat marks the first time he has lost his MP seat in 25 years, after having dominated the constituency for six consecutive terms.
