Get to Know the Rising New Political Party: Ubon Ratchathani Voters Trust Thai Ruam Phalang Party, Winning 6 Parliamentary Seats
On February 9, 2026, Thai Ruam Phalang unofficially won 6 parliamentary seats from their 26 nationwide candidates, including 5 constituency seats and 1 party-list seat. This result elevated the party to the 6th position in the 2026 election results, making them a small political party to watch.
Previously known under different names since 2018, the party has transformed from 'Heart to Heart Phumjai Thai' to 'Phua Thai Ruam Phalang', and finally 'Thai Ruam Phalang' on April 24, 2024. Led by Waswat 'Kung Fu' Puangphonsri, a nephew of Yolada Wangsuphakitikosol, the provincial administrator of Nakhon Ratchasima.
In the 2023 election, the party won both constituency seats in Ubon Ratchathani, notably defeating long-time incumbents Chuwit Phitakphornpallop and Somkid Chuakong from Pheu Thai Party.
The party's 2026 election campaign, with a budget of 200.8 billion baht, focused on people's economic challenges, including reducing living costs, community safety, youth education, labor welfare, and transparent politics. They emphasized agricultural and border region issues while promoting agricultural industries as an economic development base.
Party leader Jitrawan 'Madame Kob' Wangsuphakitikosol thanked Ubon Ratchathani voters for their trust, promising to be a voice for the people in addressing issues like agricultural product prices, border security, public debt, drug problems, and support for the elderly.
