Gen. Dechnithi Challenges Removal from Party List MP Candidate Roster

Gen. Dechnithi has filed an appeal against being removed from the Kla Thammachat Party list MP candidate list. On February 7th, the Election Court announced the removal of 5 party list candidates for failing to exercise their voting rights. Gen. Dechnithi, who was 10th on the party list, was among those removed. He has submitted a letter to the Election Commission explaining that he was on active military duty as the Director of the War Veterans Organization, which prevented him from voting in the municipal election due to official responsibilities. He plans to submit supporting documentation on February 9th and will cast his vote normally on the following day.
