Revealed: Representatives If 8 Party-List MPs from People's Party Lose Their Rights

On February 10, 2024, reporters noted that the People's Party (Prachachart) is facing significant turmoil after the National Anti-Corruption Commission unanimously found 44 former Move Forward Party MPs guilty of serious ethical violations for jointly proposing amendments to Criminal Code Article 112. The commission concluded that their actions intended to diminish royal institution protections, contradicted democratic principles with the monarch as head of state, and brought dishonor to their positions. The case will be sent to the Supreme Court for review within 30 days. At least 10 People's Party MP candidates who might have won the election will be referred to the Supreme Court, and if the court accepts the case, they will be automatically suspended from duty.
