AIS 3BB FIBRE 3 Joins CIB in Proactive Operation to Combat Online Crime
On February 6, AIS 3BB FIBRE3 supported an operation by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and Khlong Luek Police Station to search a suspicious warehouse in Aranyaprathet, Sa Kaeo Province. Police received a tip-off and coordinated with AIS 3BB FIBRE3 to investigate technical data and unusual usage patterns before conducting an on-site inspection.
Initial searches revealed modified computer equipment designed to collect internet signals and connect to distribution devices for cross-border usage. Investigators found VPN systems and international connection devices indicative of illegal internet service usage. Authorities coordinated with service providers to suspend signals and remove equipment as evidence for legal proceedings.
CIB is currently gathering evidence, investigating involved parties, and summarizing findings from the search to proceed with legal actions. AIS 3BB FIBRE3 emphasized its mission to protect Thai citizens from online crime, continuing to work with security agencies to monitor and prevent illegal network activities in border areas and combat online criminal networks more effectively.
