Wiroj Files Criminal Complaint Against Chonburi Election Commission for Neglect of Duty
On February 10, 2024, at approximately 5:27 PM, Wiroj Lakkanaadisorn, 48, filed a criminal complaint against the Election Commission with investigating officer Police Major Kasem Senaprakon at Chonburi Police Station. Following an investigation on February 9, 2024, significant irregularities were discovered in the vote counting process for Constituency 15 in Chonburi, including: 1) Mismatched vote counting documents, 2) Improperly sealed ballot boxes, 3) Election documents found in unexpected locations, including trash bins, and 4) Voting results inconsistent with actual voter turnout. Wiroj accused Deputy Secretary Chanin Noi Lek and several other election officials of deliberately neglecting their legal duties, delaying investigation for two days without proper action. He filed a complaint against 11 election officials, including Chanin Noi Lek and the Chonburi Election Commission director, requesting a full investigation into the electoral misconduct.
