Nattanicha and Thananya Lead Thai Boxing Team to Victories in Spain

Nattanicha Jong-Prong-Klang and Thananya Somnuk, both recent SEA Games gold medalists, did not disappoint boxing fans by defeating Spanish home boxers in the first round of the Boxam International Tournament 2026 in Lanucier, Valencia, Spain on February 3rd. In the first round featuring 16 boxers, the Thai national team competed in 7 matches across 3 female and 4 male weight categories. Nattanicha convincingly won her 54kg match against Mirea Delgado 5-0, while Thananya narrowly won her 60kg bout against Anna Isabel Gonzalez 3-2, both advancing to the semi-finals. Other Thai boxers also had mixed results, with some winning and some losing their matches. The tournament features athletes from 21 countries, totaling 214 boxers (124 male, 90 female).
