Constitutional Court Dismisses Senators' Complaint Against 92 Members Regarding NACC Referral
The Constitutional Court unanimously dismissed a complaint filed by Police Lieutenant General Kamrop Panyakaew and associates, who challenged a petition by 92 senators requesting the National Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong and Department of Special Investigation Director Yutthana Pradarm. The court ruled that the petitioners did not demonstrate direct rights violation and did not meet the conditions under Article 213 of the Constitution. The senators had sought to question the ministerial status of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Minister Tawee, alleging potential abuse of their senatorial positions.
