GLO Cup 2026 Launches Youth Football Program to Develop Talents for J-League
An exciting opportunity becomes reality! On February 10, 2026, the Government Lottery Office (GLO) and the Thai Football Development Foundation officially launched the GLO Cup 2026, a national 8-player youth football championship. The program targets players aged 13-15 across Thailand, offering over 1 million baht in prizes and a critical opportunity for talented young players to be selected for the GLO STAR project, which will send top performers to train with J-League clubs in Japan for six months.
Building on the success of the 2025 edition, the event received overwhelming support from schools, academies, and football communities nationwide. GLO has already sent the first group of 6 youth players to train with Avispa Fukuoka in the J-League. The press conference was attended by key government officials, including the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, the Director of Physical Education, and successful Thai national football players who shared their experiences.
