Rachada Slams Political Parties for Exploiting Opportunity, Attacking Bhumjaithai Party over 'Floating Hatyai People'
On February 4th at Si Yak Saphan Dam intersection in Hatyai, Songkhla, Ms. Rachada Thanadirake, a Bhumjaithai Party list MP candidate, spoke out against political parties accusing her party of abandoning flood victims. She explained that during the flood situation, she worked as an assistant to the Prime Minister's Office and emergency situation spokesperson, providing daily updates and coordinating with military and local organizations. Rachada emphasized that the government approved relief funds immediately on December 1st, faster than any previous government. However, some political parties are attacking the Bhumjaithai Party, claiming they 'abandoned sea-level people' in Hatyai. She urged opponents not to seek political points from people's suffering, noting that although the government dissolved parliament on December 11th, they had already approved over 10,000 million baht in central budget for flood relief in central and southern regions. Rachada further explained that while flood situations have eased, some people still haven't received relief funds. The additional budget is pending at the Election Commission, which refuses to approve it, making accusations of abandoning Hatyai residents entirely false.
