11 Amateur Golfers Qualify for World Amateur Golfers Championship Thailand Final
The World Amateur Golfers Championship Thailand (WAGC Thailand) is a tournament to select top amateur golfers who will represent Thailand in an international competition with players from over 45 countries. The World Final WAGC 2026 will be held from October 23-31, 2026, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The qualifying rounds will take place across 10 leading golf courses in Thailand, with 18-hole stroke play competitions divided into five flights based on handicap levels. The tournament will select 11 golfers per event - 10 players (2 from each flight) and one lucky draw winner - to advance to the National Final Round on September 14th at Siam Country Club Bangkok. Participants will earn WAGC Thailand Points, with top performers gaining additional points and potential qualification for the national final. In the National Final Round, the tournament will select just one winner from each flight, plus a lucky draw participant, totaling 6 players to represent the Thai national team at the World Final in Malaysia in October 2026. The first qualifying round results at Alpine Golf Club on February 9th featured winners across different handicap flights, with champions like Sutthiphat Sathirachawala in Flight A and Sunthon Kaewmanee in Flight B demonstrating exceptional skills.
