Pro Jinny Arthaya Wins Female Golfer of the Year Award from US Golf Writers Association
Jinny Arthaya, Thailand's world No. 1 female golfer, won the Female Golfer of the Year 2025 award from the Golf Writers Association of America. The 22-year-old pro secured 68.2% of the votes, defeating Minjee Lee from Australia and Miyu Yamashita from Japan. In the past year, Jinny had an outstanding performance, successfully defending her LPGA CME Group Tour Championship title, winning three tour championships, setting the lowest LPGA scoring average of 68.681, earning the highest annual prize money, and reclaiming the world No. 1 ranking.
In other awards, Scottie Scheffler, the world No. 1 male golfer from the US, won the Male Player of the Year with 62.7% of votes, while Stuart Sinks won the Senior Player of the Year with 38.2% of votes. The award ceremony will be held on April 8th at Augusta National in Georgia, USA, before the prestigious men's Major tournament, The Masters.
