Fresh from Youth - MLBB's New Decade: Thai E-Sports on the World Stage
Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB), the popular mobile MOBA game by Moonton, is making waves in Thailand again in late 2025. The company is investing heavily in the Thai gaming and e-sports scene, highlighted by the upcoming first national league, MSL Thailand, scheduled for 2026. A major highlight was recruiting Wirachsun Ariyapongpisan (known as 'Guy Ngit'), a famous e-sports creator and former professional player, as their first Strategic Partner in Thailand. MLBB recently hosted the M7 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, where Moonton invited representatives from 8 Thai clubs to experience the global competition. Cloud Zhang, Moonton's CEO, announced that the next championship (M8) will have its wild card round in Thailand and finals in Istanbul, Turkey, demonstrating the company's serious commitment to expanding in the Thai market. In the M7 tournament, Aurora Gaming PH from the Philippines won the championship, defeating local favorites Alter Ego 4-0, earning $320,000 in prize money. Wei Guo, MLBB Thailand's Country Manager, emphasized their strategic market entry since mid-2024 and their excitement about bringing new gaming experiences to Thai players.
