Heaven in the Kitchen - 'Tham Me' Delicious and Healthy Restaurant with Chemical-Free Ingredients
The phrase 'eating well, living well' perfectly describes Tham Me, a Thai restaurant that is healthy, delicious, clean, and reasonably priced. Its key feature is ingredients sourced directly from farmers' fields and local fishing boats, and importantly, these ingredients are chemical-free. Vegetables and fruits must not use chemical fertilizers, meats must be hormone-free, and seafood must be free of formalin.
Even during cooking, they maintain a healthy approach, avoiding MSG and focusing on natural, fresh flavors with minimal processing. Despite the clean cooking method, the food is not bland - instead, it's rich with the aromatic flavors of fresh ingredients, reminiscent of home-cooked meals.
The restaurant is trendy, with beautifully presented dishes that are Instagram-worthy and comparable to popular cafes. After enjoying a meal, customers can also purchase fresh, chemical-free produce to take home.
Nao Phichet Tonitiwong, CEO of Dharm Business Social Enterprise and the restaurant's manager, explains that the restaurant has been open for 4 years. Their business model focuses not on maximizing profits, but on creating food security for Thailand, sustainable livelihoods for farmers, and safe food for consumers at fair prices.
The restaurant works with agricultural networks across several provinces, encouraging farmers to grow their own vegetables and buying any surplus. The restaurant's name 'Tham Me' literally means they purchase ingredients based on seasonal availability from farms and seas.
They have two branches: one on Banthadthong Road opposite Chula Soi 4, and another at Sammakorn Ramkhamhaeng 112. Both are open from 10 AM to 9-10 PM, closed on Mondays.
