Google Cloud officially announces a new Cloud Region in Thailand, representing a key strategic milestone that underscores the company's long-term commitment to developing Thailand's AI-driven digital economy. The new Cloud Region in Bangkok is part of Google's investment of over 30 billion baht to expand global technical infrastructure into Thailand. The region will provide high-performance Google Cloud services, helping organizations create new competitive advantages, improve workforce efficiency, and enhance government services. Projections suggest that within the next five years, this Cloud Region could generate 1.4 trillion baht in economic value and create an average of 130,000 jobs annually. Karthik Naren, Google Cloud's Chief Product and Business Officer, emphasized that the new Cloud Region brings world-class infrastructure directly to Thai businesses, startups, and government agencies, providing access to Google Cloud's leading AI technologies and helping organizations innovate more quickly while maintaining greater control over their data.
