Harden Trades to Cavaliers, Hopes for First NBA Championship
James Harden, an 11-time NBA All-Star point guard, is moving from the LA Clippers to the Cleveland Cavaliers in hopes of winning his first NBA championship. Despite being 36 and regarded as one of the best point guards in NBA history, Harden has never won a championship. He sees better opportunities with the Cavaliers, a team ranked 5th in the Eastern Conference with stronger playoff prospects. 'I see a chance to win a championship in the East. They have a good team, coach, and other factors. I really wanted to stay in LA, but I've never won a championship in my basketball career, and I think I have a slightly better opportunity now,' Harden said. He emphasized that the trade wasn't his request, noting that 'life isn't just basketball' and sometimes relationships must end when paths diverge. Harden, who won MVP in 2018 with the Houston Rockets, has previously played for five teams and will now join his sixth.
