Chatrin Counters Supajee, Claims 67 Central Government Agencies Have Implemented E-Doc
On February 6, 2024, Chatrin Chanthorn, former Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister and Pheu Thai party list MP candidate, responded to Supajee Suthammapath's vision presentation on Digital Government. He argued that her E-document information was significantly inaccurate, emphasizing that while discussions had been ongoing for 10 years, the project was seriously implemented during the Pheu Thai government's term.
Chatrin confirmed that 67 central government agencies have implemented E-Document, not 22 as Supajee claimed, with 94,000 users and an additional 5,673 local administrative organizations involving over 150,000 users. He stressed that this was achieved in just over a year, calling it a genuine work achievement.
He further challenged Supajee, suggesting she verify reports that the new Digital Economy Minister is reluctant to sign E-doc systems and instead requires manual printing and signing. Regarding the Super App concept for consolidating government services, Chatrin noted that Pheu Thai has long advocated for this approach to increase convenience, transparency, and reduce potential corruption opportunities.
