True Corporation Expands 4G-5G Network Nationwide for February 8 Elections

On February 5, 2024, True Corporation is rapidly preparing its 5G and 4G networks to support the parliamentary election and referendum on February 8. The company aims to facilitate citizen voting and support communication and election reporting across the country. They will utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced automated network systems to efficiently manage signals in high-traffic areas. True Corporation has analyzed usage data from early voting on February 1 to prepare for expected high mobile voice and data usage, particularly during peak voting hours of 8:00-11:00 AM and 4:00-5:00 PM. Network management teams led by Kuram Ashfaq and Jirachai Kunakorn have been conducting on-site signal testing and readiness checks. The company will also deploy mobile cell towers (Cell-On-Wheel: COW) to expand signal coverage in dense areas, with each site capable of supporting over 50,000 simultaneous users. True has prepared signal coverage for all 33 election districts in Bangkok and key provinces like Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Chiang Mai, and Chonburi.
