Ronaldo Ready to Leave Al Nassr - Contract Termination Fee Still Extremely High
Cristiano Ronaldo, the soccer superstar, is preparing to leave Al Nassr, the wealthy Saudi Arabian team, with a contract termination fee of 50 million euros or approximately 1.869 billion baht. Ronaldo, the 40-year-old Portuguese star, has expressed dissatisfaction with the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the major shareholder of four Saudi clubs, due to their player recruitment strategy for Al Hilal, the league's leading team. Recent international media reports indicate that Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr extends until 2027, with a termination clause of 50 million euros effective this summer. Ronaldo still wants to continue playing to chase his goal of scoring 1,000 goals, currently needing 39 more. He is reportedly considering two options: returning to play in Europe or reluctantly joining Major League Soccer in the United States, a league he previously criticized as having lower standards than Saudi Arabia.
