Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Studies Carbon Reduction Policies in Laos Towards Carbon Neutral University
Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, led by Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, traveled with administrators and staff participating in the Carbon Neutral University workshop to study carbon reduction policies in Laos at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane. Thai Ambassador Khrongkanit Rakkcharoen welcomed the delegation, who received briefings on strategic relationships for growth and sustainable development between Thailand and Laos. Under the concepts of 'Close Relatives, Close Friends' and 'Sharing Rice Fields, Sharing Waters', they discussed Laos's role as a regional transportation linkage. Additionally, they learned about green economic development strategies, national strategic documents, and Carbon Credit project collaboration models at bilateral and public-private cooperation levels, which will be beneficial for advancing the Carbon Neutral University project.
