Border Community Residents Seek Strong Leadership to Resolve Unrest and Economic Challenges

In Buriram province, residents along the Thai-Cambodian border are expressing their desire for skilled and decisive leadership that can quickly resolve border tensions and agricultural economic challenges. On February 7th, reporters interviewed local residents about their expectations for the upcoming election on February 8th, 2569. Most villagers and farmers expressed limited expectations, noting that previous governments have failed to seriously address border disputes and economic problems. Local resident Yossaran, 52, emphasized the need for competent leaders who can end border conflicts, prevent further losses, and improve agricultural product prices for crops like cassava, rubber, sugarcane, and rice. Another resident, Kornchawal, 30, shared similar sentiments, hoping the new government will demonstrate genuine commitment to resolving critical national issues. Both residents stressed their desire for a stable government that can work continuously, develop the country effectively, and improve citizens' living conditions without constant political uncertainty.
