Entertainment Scoop - 'Noi-Joy' Dive into the Roles of 'Ploy Nam Phet': A Surrogacy Story
Channel One31 presents a star-studded drama 'Ploy Nam Phet' that delves into the complex world of illegal surrogacy, featuring legendary actresses 'Noi' Busakorn Wongpuapan and 'Joy' Sirilak Phongchok in lead roles.
The story follows Nongnuch (Joy Sirilak), a market vendor struggling financially due to her seriously ill husband, who decides to become a surrogate for Nam Phet (Noi Busakorn), a middle-aged woman unable to conceive. Fate intervenes, separating mother and child, with Ploy (Belle Nipadat) growing up in a slum, unaware of her true origins.
Ploy is a dutiful daughter working hard to support her family, aided by Kla Tawan (Tong Tong Kittakorn), a social worker helping underprivileged youth. As Nam Phet searches for her biological daughter and discovers Ploy's identity, she secretly supports her. When Nongnuch learns of Nam Phet's wealth, she begins to use Ploy as a tool for financial gain, sparking a dramatic conflict between the biological and surrogate mothers.
Both lead actresses expressed excitement about working together, with Noi praising Joy's acting skills and Joy highlighting her admiration for the production.
Watch 'Ploy Nam Phet' every Monday and Thursday at 8 PM, premiering February 9th on Channel One31 and the oneD app.
