Orange Party Candidate Requests Vote Recount, Denied by Election Commission

On February 10, 2024, Praiwan Taveekitsirapong, a parliamentary candidate for District 1 in Kamphaeng Phet, submitted a request to the Election Commission to recount votes. He noted a discrepancy where the total vote count was 85,827, but valid ballots only numbered 81,527 - a difference of 4,300 votes. The Election Commission refused the recount, stating the displayed numbers were unofficial and might contain minor errors. The unofficial election results show Pai Lik (Klaa Tham Party) winning with 44,898 votes, while Praiwan received 29,407 votes, with 4,771 spoiled ballots.
