Democrat Party Holds Large Rally, Highlights 'Safe Path', Abhisit Criticizes Anutin's Southern Visit
The Democrat Party held a major rally at Bangkok Forum on February 6th, marking their final campaign event before the February 8th election. Under the theme 'Safe Path, Trust Abhisit', the party presented all 27 of their policy proposals. Blue campaign flags were used as photo props for attendees to take pictures with the three prime ministerial candidates, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere. The rally hall could accommodate 2,000 people. At 4:30 PM, party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, along with other party leaders, met with supporters who were eager to take photos and even kiss Abhisit's cheek. Abhisit emphasized that despite starting later than other parties, they are working intensively. He challenged Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to be more transparent about policy details and suggested that truly democratic-minded politicians must be ready to compete. Abhisit stressed the importance of political debate and policy clarity in the upcoming election.
