Election Commission of Narathiwat Explains Fluctuating Vote Counts in District 3, Candidates Request Investigation
The Narathiwat Election Commission explained the vote count fluctuations in District 3, covering the areas of Waeng, Cho Airong, and Su-ngai Kolok districts. A Bhumjaithai Party candidate has filed a request for investigation. The provincial election commission is conducting a detailed review, noting that the initial discrepancies stem from vote tallies processed by campaign teams at polling stations, not the official Election Commission count. The total vote count comprises two parts: regular in-district voting and votes from outside the district and overseas. Specifically, 18 advance voting ballots were registered on February 1, combined with 3,924 out-of-district and overseas ballots. The fluctuating numbers during the count were due to incomplete processing. The Election Commission will thoroughly verify all submitted vote counts and document the entire process. The candidate's complaint has been received and will be forwarded to the central Election Commission for further review on potential vote recount.
