Election Ballot Box Transfer Halted in Chonburi District 1 After Public Protest

Officials halted the transfer of election ballot boxes in Chonburi District 1 after being confronted by protesters. Representatives from iLaw later spoke with officials, who stated they were unwilling to continue the transfer due to the hostile atmosphere and loud verbal abuse. Public representatives requested to remain in the area for one more night to secure important documents, including vote tallying forms and CCTV backups. They raised concerns about the ballot boxes not being properly sealed and questioned the integrity of the vote count. The group emphasized that without guarantees of ballot box security, they cannot be confident of a fair process. They confirmed they would pursue legal action against the Election Commission using available evidence. No ballot box transfer occurred that night, with expectations of another attempt the following day under close public scrutiny.
