Anutin Opens Door for Professional Talents in New Cabinet, Already Has Names in Mind

At the Government House on February 12th, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, as the leader of Bhumjaithai Party, addressed private sector concerns about Thailand's economic challenges. He stated that things will improve as people are confident that after the election, the government will not face external pressure. He emphasized that if they form a government, it will be strong, independent, and committed to bringing in professional personnel to solve existing problems. When asked about potential professional cabinet members beyond Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Supachee Suthammanon, and Seehasakul Phuangketkeaw, Anutin repeatedly noted that this would be something he must carefully consider. Anutin strongly asserted that Thailand is not the 'sick man of Asia', arguing that those who claim this might have biases. He highlighted Thailand's strategic geopolitical position and potential, emphasizing that the country is peaceful, not aggressive, but capable of standing up to challenges. He sees the recent election as a golden opportunity, with citizens giving Bhumjaithai Party a chance to prove itself. The Prime Minister stressed that the new government will focus on stability, security, sustainability, and improving people's quality of life, not just a caretaker government waiting to cut ribbons.
