Seven Injured in Van Crash While Traveling to Vote in Nakhon Ratchasima
NAKHON RATCHASIMA — On February 8, 2026, seven voters were injured in a van accident on Mittraphap Road when their driver fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle. Police investigator Pol. Lt. Col. Saichon Dongruangsi reported that the van veered into the central median, striking a highway signpost and power pole. The passengers, who were traveling from Koh Samui to vote in Phu Khiao district, were all taken to Pak Chong Nana Hospital for treatment after rescue workers extracted them from the damaged vehicle. The driver, Mr. Sa-at Leepa, 54, admitted to becoming fatigued during the long journey and briefly falling asleep before the crash.
