Grace Shakes Hands with New Prime Minister, Urging Resolution of Long-Standing Issues and Economic Recovery
On February 8th, actress Grace Kanchonklet exercised her voting rights in the election and constitutional referendum. At the polling station, she showed her ID and received two ballots - a green ballot for constituency representatives and a pink ballot for party-list representatives. She cast her votes independently and also received a yellow ballot for the constitutional referendum.
Grace commented on the new prime minister: 'Whoever becomes prime minister, the accumulated problems are beyond simple solutions. There are issues with the economy, health, tourism, taxes, and corruption. The most important thing is to revive the economy. We need policies and measures to drive the Thai economy both now and in the future. The situation is difficult for low-income people. Even graduates earning 20,000-25,000 baht face challenges with high living costs.'
She further expressed concerns about Thailand's aging population and declining birth rates, stating that the economic situation makes people hesitant to have children. Grace emphasized that addressing economic problems should be the first priority, believing that other issues will improve once the economy recovers.
